We have set up a booking hotline for you, which you can reach Tues—Fri from 10 am—1 pm at 0611 / 335 2251.

Currently, we do not require any contact information forms but you do need to present a negative test certificate (Antigen-Test) when you visit Museum Wiesbaden (except: recovered or vaccinated).

The admission requirements to the museum are based on the Hessian prevention and escalation concept.

Important questions and answers about your visit (FAQ)

Do I need a negative test?
Yes, if you are not vaccinated or recovered you do need negative proof of testing to visit the museum.

What are the current hygiene rules?

The Museum Wiesbaden follows the hygiene plan of the official regulations. In addition to limiting the number of visitors, the measures include optimized visitor guidance through the building and increased cleaning of central points. Disinfectant dispensers are installed in the building. The distance rule of at least 1.5 meters and the sneeze and cough etiquette apply in the museum. Please wear medical masks (FFP2 or surgical masks) throughout your visit. For your own safety and the benefit of everyone, only come to the museum if you feel healthy.

Do I have to book my ticket online?

At this time, under the terms of the current pandemic regulations, ticket reservations are required in advance. You can book your ticket at or in the museum app. Currently, tickets can be booked 30 days in advance.

Which tickets can be booked?

We currently have three special exhibitions "Of cows, noble ladies and enchanted landscapes. Or of the love of painting: news from the 19th", "Frank Gerritz — Temporary Ground" and "Crystals — from diamond to plaster". In addition, access to the permanent exhibition is possible. The permanent exhibition ticket includes the exhibition "Exquisite — Art of the 19th Century. Bequest of Jan and Friederike Baechle", Beuys 100 and the study exhibition "The Serpent Child of Asklepios" are included. In each of these categories you can choose from three ticket types: Full fare, Reduced, Free.

What payment methods are available?
You can pay for your online ticket by credit card (Visa or Mastercard), via Giropay or Klarna Sofortüberweisung. Tickets booked by telephone can be paid for directly at the ticket office on site.

How long do I have in the online store to complete the booking?

The tickets in the shopping cart are reserved for 5 minutes until full payment.

Do I need to fill out a contact follow-up form?

No, we do not currently require contact tracking. Starting in July, we will again require contact forms and test recovery or immunization records if you are attending events.

How long do I have for my visit?

Your visit time is unlimited. The time listed on your ticket refers to the admission time slot. Please refer to the museum's respective hours of operation when making your reservation. You may be asked to leave as early as 15 minutes prior.

Are there guided tours / events or educational offers?

Guided tours and events will not take place again until July 2021. Offers for educational groups (schools and day-care centers, etc.) are possible by appointment under the conditions of the current pandemic regulations:

Can I cancel my ticket?

Cancellation for private reasons is unfortunately not possible (please also refer to our General Terms and Conditions). Please contact the booking hotline at 0611/335 2251 between Tue—Fri, 10—14 hrs each day for a possible rebooking. Should the museum have to close again due to the pandemic and your booked ticket falls within the closure period, we will of course cancel your ticket without being asked and free of charge for you.

Is Café Mechtild open?

Café Mechtild is open. The café also offers hot drinks and food to go. Please check in with Luca-app.
