Notes for your next visit

There is no requirement of wearing masks during your visit. Guests can decide at their own discretion whether to follow our recommendation of wearing medical or FFP2 masks during their visit.
We recommend observing the distance rule of at least 1.5 meters and the etiquette when sneezing and coughing.
It is now all the more important that each and every individual takes care to avoid unnecessary risks of infection and to protect themselves and others as best as possible.

Do I need a negative test?
Currently you do not need any proof for your visit to the Museum Wiesbaden.

What are the current hygiene rules?

The Museum Wiesbaden follows the hygiene plan of the official requirements. In addition to limiting the number of visitors, the measures include optimized visitor guidance through the building and increased cleaning of central points. Disinfectant dispensers are installed in the building. In the museum, the distance rule of at least 1.5 meters and the sneeze and cough etiquette are recommended to all guests. Please decide if you would like to wear medical masks (FFP2 or surgical masks) during your visit. For your own safety and the benefit of all, please come to the museum only if you feel healthy.

Do I have to book my ticket online?

At this time, under the terms of the current pandemic regulations, ticket reservations are required in advance. You can book your ticket at tickets.museum-wiesbaden.de or in the museum app.

Which tickets can be booked?

You can book tickets for special exhibitions or permanent exhibitions.
In each of these categories you can choose from three ticket types: Full-Fare, Reduced, Free.

What payment methods are available?
You can pay for your online ticket by credit card (Visa or Mastercard), via Giropay or Klarna Sofortüberweisung. Tickets booked by telephone can be paid for directly at the ticket office on site.

How long do I have in the online store to complete the booking?

The tickets in the shopping cart are reserved for 5 minutes until full payment.

I can not complete the booking process. Where can I turn to?

How long do I have for my visit?

Your visit time is unlimited. The time listed on your ticket refers to the admission time slot. Please refer to the museum's respective hours of operation when making your reservation. You may be asked to leave as early as 15 minutes prior.

Are there guided tours / events or educational offers?

Guided tours and events take place. Offers for educational groups (schools and day-care centers, etc.) are possible by appointment under the conditions of the current pandemic regulations: edu@museum-wiesbaden.de

Can I cancel my ticket?

Cancellation for private reasons is unfortunately not possible (please also refer to our General Terms and Conditions). Please contact the booking hotline at 0611/335 2251 between Tue—Fri, 10—14 hrs each day for a possible rebooking. Should the museum have to close again due to the pandemic and your booked ticket falls within the closure period, we will of course cancel your ticket without being asked and free of charge for you.

Is Café Mechtild open?

Café Mechtild is open. The café also offers hot drinks and food to go.
