Getting here

The barrier-free entrance is located to the right of the main entrance stairs. From there, you can reach the foyer via a passenger elevator. 

Lockers

Lockers are located in the basement and can be accessed via an elevator. A 1-euro coin is required to use the lockers.

Toilets

In the cloakroom area (ground floor), you will find a height-adjustable and wheelchair-accessible changing table. It is located in the wheelchair-accessible toilet unit. You can reach the ground floor via the elevator in the ticket office area. Additional accessible restrooms are accessible via the elevator in the natural history section on the lower level.

Equipment to borrow and other technical facilities 

Wheelchairs, stools, buggies, and baby carriers can be borrowed in the foyer. These items are available on request; reservations are not possible. The borrowed items may not be taken outside the building. An induction loop system for people with hearing aids is available in the lecture hall.

Admission

People with a disabled pass receive reduced admission.

We are happy to offer inclusive and accessible tours or guided tours and workshops for your group. We will be happy to discuss your group's individual needs and tailor our formats accordingly.

Seating facilities

Benches are available in some of the exhibition rooms for visitors to sit and relax. Portable folding chairs are available free of charge in the entrance area (near the fountain).

Service dogs

Service dogs are welcome throughout the museum and in the exhibitions.
