Records in the animal kingdom captivate not only children but people of all ages. Who qualifies as the biggest and smallest animal, and who makes it into the animal quartet card deck? From the largest cellular organism and the largest land animal to the smallest reptile, it is interesting to contemplate the natural constraints of being big or small. Consider this: a giraffe can drink from the ground without fainting, and a dwarf chameleon's liver, which is only a few millimeters in size, can maintain its metabolism.
