On the occasion of his 85th birthday, the Wiesbaden collector Frank Brabant was invited to go on a journey of discovery in the repositories of Museum Wiesbaden. There, he discovered the entirely unknown local artist Karl-Otto Hy (1904—1992), who worked as a painter in Wiesbaden between 1920 and 1937.

Hy captured the spirit of his day in his neo-objective views of the city of Wiesbaden — clear and poetic in equal measure.
